Community Guidelines

1. Introduction

Hitract is a digital community platform where students come together around engagement, shared interests and community. The purpose of these Community guidelines is to create a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all users.

Hitract is built on curiosity, engagement, and the desire to have constructive and respectful dialogue. How we treat each other is just as important as what we share.

By using hitract, you agree to these Community guidelines. These guidelines complement hitract’s Terms of use and Privacy Policy.

2. Fundamental principles

All users are expected to contribute to a community characterized by respect, safety and inclusion. Use of hitract must comply with applicable laws and respect the rights and privacy of other users.

We want hitract to be a place where it is easy to participate, easy to engage and easy to speak up if something does not feel right.

3. Permitted behavior

We encourage users to communicate in a friendly and respectful manner, show consideration for other users’ boundaries and experiences and to leave or end interactions that feel uncomfortable.

A good rule of thumb is to treat others the way you yourself would like to be treated, both in public and more private contexts.

4. Prohibited behavior

It is not permitted to behave in a way that harms, offends, or risks creating an unsafe environment for other users.

Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to, actions or content involving threats, harassment, bullying, or abusive statements. This also includes discrimination, degradation, or exclusion of individuals or groups, unwanted sexual comments, advances, or insinuations, as well as intrusive or repeated contact after a recipient has expressed unwillingness.

It is also not permitted to share violent, pornographic, or otherwise offensive content, to encourage or normalize violence, self-harm, or illegal activities, to impersonate others, mislead or manipulate other users, or to use the platform in a manner that conflicts with hitract’s purpose.

These rules apply regardless of context, format, or intent and cover both public and more private interactions on hitract. This includes all communication and content shared via hitract, whether in channels, chats, feeds, or in connection with buying and selling.

When students buy and sell items, agreements are made directly between the parties involved. Hitract is not a party to the transaction and is not responsible for the completion of the transaction, payment, delivery, the condition of the item, or any disputes between users. The Community guidelines apply fully to all buying and selling activities. Fraud, misleading information, threats, or any form of pressure or coercion are not permitted.

5. Measures in case of rule violations

In the event of violations of these Community guidelines, hitract may take action. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, this may include a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from hitract.

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate action. Hitract reserves the right to assess violations based on the overall circumstances and the platform’s values.

6. Responsibility

Hitract is responsible for providing clear guidelines and handling violations in a consistent and fair manner. As a user, you are responsible for your behavior, the content you share and for contributing to a safe and respectful environment.

7. Together we create hitract

These Community guidelines exist to ensure that hitract is a place where students can meet, engage and communicate in a fair and respectful way. When everyone takes responsibility for their behavior, hitract becomes a better place for all.
